We are delighted to be a supporting church for CAP Bognor Debt Centre, which operates out of St. Wilfrid's Church.  It is a project that helps local people struggling with debt.

The CAP Partnership Story

As an Elim Network church in Bognor Regis, we have partnered with 5 other churches in the area to fund a Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt centre for the area.

In Summer 2022, after a period of change and transition following the pandemic, we felt God challenging us to be ready to look outward and support our community. Just as we did, the opportunity to partner with other local churches in re-establishing CAP Bognor came up, and it felt like God’s perfect timing and an opportunity not to be missed.

In December 2022 the partnership began, followed by a launch celebration in March 2023 where representatives from the partner churches came together to celebrate the launch of CAP Bognor and pray for the CAP Bognor team. 

Since 2022 a CAP Manager was appointed, and has worked effectively alongside Befrienders, including from the King's Gate Church, to alleviate debt.  And the partnership has now shifted to have St. Wilfrid's as the Lead Church.
